So what is radiant heat?

Radiant heat is like warmth from the sun. It heats objects within a space, rather than the air around them. Warmth is radiated to other objects, people and structural elements.

How does it work?

Water is the ultimate transfer medium. In fact, 20 times more efficient than air. Hydronic heat pumps  one energy efficient example of this technology in action.  By circulating hot or cold water through tubing, the concrete slab temperature alters. Tubing is sectioned into zones to allow for options, like individual zone programming.

Hydrofloor offers better heat distribution, keeping your feet warm and your head cool. Heat loss is minimised because:

• heat generated at floor level does not build up and escape through the ceiling;
• air escaping via draughts and normal air movement does not mean escaping heat.
